North Carolina’s 2024 season concluded , ended with 27-14 loss to Uconn Saturday in Wasabi Fenway Bowl at Fenway Park home of MLB’s Boston Red Sox.
North Carolina really couldn’t get anything going offensively as their offense included a pair of touchdowns. Their first touchdown came in the 1st quarter when Chris Culliver returned a kickoff return for 95 yards , Lucas Osada kicked, made extra point getting North Carolina within 10-7 of Uconn . In the 4th quarter John Copenhaver caught 17 yard pass from Caleb Hood , Noah Burnette kicked, made extra point making final score 27-14 Uconn.
Before the score became final it was all Uconn in the first quarter Chris Freeman kicked, made 32 yard field goal giving Uconn a 3-0 lead in 1st quarter then Uconn extended their lead 10-0 as Skyler Bell caught 38 yard pass from Joe Fagano , Chris Freeman kicked, made extra point extending Uconn lead over North Carolina 17-7 24-7 in the 2nd quarter when Alex Honing caught 4 yard pass from Joe Fagano Chris Freeman, kicked , made extra point, Cam Edwards ran for 2 yards Chris Freeman kicked, made extra point. In the 3rd quarter Chris Freeman kicked, made 24 yard field goal extending Uconn’s lead over North Carolina 27-7. Though, it was North Carolina who would have the last laugh as John Coppenhaver would catch 17 yard pass from Caleb Hood, Noah Burnette would kick, made extra point. Though, it wouldn’t be enough as Uconn would go on to win the Wasabi Fenway Bowl at Fenway Park home of MLB’s Boston Red Sox.
