While coaching at Appalachian State Justin Watts was Wide Receivers Coach from 2015-2017 before becoming Recruiting Coordinator, Wide Receivers coach in 2018 before continuing his as recruiting coordinator coaching tight ends in 2019 2020 seasons. In 2021 season Justin Watts was Assistant Head Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, Tight Ends Coach. In 2023 at Appalachian State Justin Watts was Pass Game Coordinator, Assistant Head Coach, Tight Ends Coach.

I want to thank Coach Watts for everything he has done for App State over the last nine years. Coaching multiple positions and serving as Assistant Coach since 2021. He has been an integral part of our championship success on the field and on the recruiting trail. Justin, his wife Lauren and their kids, Chase and Kendell are family. He is the definition of giving your All for App, and we wish him the best at his next stop. There will be a competitive stop for his replacement.
