As 16th NC State hosted Texas Tech in North Carolina’s state capital Saturday they won 24-14.
In 16th NC State’s 27-14 win over Texas Tech on Saturday fter the Pack's first series of the game, punter Shane McDonough came out on fourth down. Despite the visitor's attempt to field the punt, the Red Raiders muffed McDonough's punt and long snapper Joe Shimkorecovered the ball inside the red zone at Texas Tech's 13-yard line.
The Pack ran a trick play that had the ball snapped to running back Jordan Houston who pitched the ball to wide receiver Thayer Thomas who then passed to quarterback Devin Leary in the end zone. The game's would-be opening touchdown, however, was called back due to an illegal Pack receiver downfield.
Kicker Christopher Dunn converted a 29-yard field goal to turn the muffed punt into three points. Dunn then doubled the Wolfpack's lead with a 47-yard field goal with 3:27 remaining in the first quarter.
SECOND QUARTER (20-7)

The Red Raiders found the end zone for the lone time in the opening half with 50 seconds left after a 24-yard touchdown pass from Donovan Smith to Myles Price.
THIRD QUARTER (20-7)
C.J. Clark recorded his second sack of the evening after taking down Smith on the Texas Tech 38 yard-line.
FOURTH QUARTER (27-14)
