Atlanta Georgia!
Sam Howell threw four touchdown passes and North Carolina suffered no letdown from last week's narrow loss to the nation's No. 1 team, snapping a three-game losing streak with a 38-22 victory over Georgia Tech on Saturday.
Howell, a freshman making his sixth career start, completed 33 of 51 passes for a career-high 376 yards as North Carolina piled up a season-high 587 yards of total offense and Javonte Williams ran 17 times for a career-high 138 yards and a TD.

Georgia Tech lost to North Carolina 22-38!
Why?
Georgia Tech exploded for 227 yards of offense and 22 points in the second half but it wasn’t enough to overcome a slow offensive start and an inefficient third-down defense, as the Yellow Jackets dropped a 38-22 decision to North Carolina on Saturday afternoon at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
After being limited to 94 yards of offense in a scoreless first half, Georgia Tech put together one of its best offensive halves of the season after the break. In addition to racking up 227 of their 321 total yards, the Yellow Jackets scored touchdowns on three of their first six possessions after the break.
However, Georgia Tech’s offensive outburst was offset by an inability to get off the field defensively, as North Carolina converted 12-of-20 third- and fourth-down attempts. Five of UNC’s 12 conversions came with nine yards or more to go for a first down. Conversely, Tech converted just 4-of-11 third downs.
Both the Yellow Jackets and the Tar Heels averaged 6.1 yards per play for the game, but UNC’s ability to convert third downs led to the Heels running 44 more plays than the Jackets (97 to 53).
Making his first-career start, redshirt freshman quarterback James Graham accounted for 219 yards of total offense for Georgia Tech — 171 yards and two touchdowns through the air and 48 yards on the ground. Running back Jordan Mason led the Yellow Jackets with 62 rushing yards on just eight carries (7.8 avg.) and, also making the first start of his career, sophomore wideout Adonicas Sanders led Tech with three receptions for 67 yards.
Mason (2-yard run), Malachi Carter (28-yard reception) and Ahmarean Brown (32-yard reception) scored the Jackets’ three touchdowns.
Defensively, junior linebacker David Curry led Tech with a career-high 16 tackles. As a team, the Jackets accounted for seven tackles for loss.

North Carolina comes into the game with a record 2-1 overall 1-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and is third in the Coastal Division standings.

When?
Last Saturday!
Where?
Chapel Hill North Carolina!
In that game North Carolina In the 59-39 winSam Howell threw five touchdown passes and ran for a career-best 112 yards as No. 21 North Carolina took over after halftime to beat Virginia 59-39 on Saturday night.
The Tar Heels (2-1, 1-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) scored touchdowns on all five of their second-half drives, which helped turn a 28-24 halftime deficit into a 52-31 lead on Howell's short TD throw to Kamari Morales with 12:13 left.
And after a first-half shootout with Brennan Armstrong and the Cavaliers (2-1, 0-1), UNC gave up only a field goal in the third quarter while also coming up with Ja'Qurious Conley'sinterception.
That was more than enough help for the Tar Heels' offense, which kept ending drives with with end-zone celebrations to speed back out in front after squandering a 24-7 first-half lead.
And there were no shortage of offensive stars.
Tennessee graduate transfer Ty Chandler ran for a career-high 198 yards with two touchdowns, the last coming from 7 yards out with 2:57 left to seal it. And Josh Downs had eight catches for 203 yards and a pair of TDs. Perhaps more impressively, the Tar Heels showed a different dimension by leaning on their ground game instead of putting everything on Howell's arm.
The result? The Tar Heels ran 47 times for 392 yards compared to just 21 pass attempts for their star quarterback, and finished with 699 total yards. It was UNC's biggest scoring output against Virginia since 1936 in the long-running series and second-most ever.
Armstrong had a huge day of his own for the Cavaliers, throwing for a program-record 554 yards — the most ever by any UNC opponent — with four touchdowns. That included a career-best performance for Dontayvion Wicks (seven catches for 183 yards and a score) as the Cavaliers finished with 574 total yards.

Georgia Tech comes into the game with a record 1-2 overall while they’re 0-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference!
Georgia Tech is 0-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference because they lost to Clemson who is ranked number six and who unlike them is a member of the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
When?
Last Saturday by a score of 14-8!
Where?
Clemson South Carolina!
In that game Georgia Tech football pushed No. 6 Clemson to the brink on Saturday afternoon, enduring a 1-hour, 52-minute lightning delay and amassing 309 yards of offense before dropping a tough-luck 14-8 loss at Memorial Stadium.
Trailing 14-3 midway through the fourth quarter, Georgia Tech (1-2, 0-1 ACC) came up just inches short of potentially pulling even in the waning seconds of the thriller and sending shockwaves through the Atlantic Coast Conference and the college football world.
The wild game-ending sequence began in earnest when Tech drove 70 yards in 16 plays to the Clemson 5 yard line and pulled within eight points on Brent Cimaglia’s second 22-yard field goal of the game with 1:19 to go.
Jude Kelley then executed a picture-perfect onside kick that the Yellow Jackets recovered to take over at midfield with 1:19 to go. Tech moved the ball 51 yards to set up fourth-and-goal at the 1 yard line. Unfortunately, a shovel pass to tight end Dylan Deveney came up just inches short of the goal line, leaving the Yellow Jackets down 14-6 with 15 seconds left on the clock.
However, the Jackets stayed alive one play later when Juanyeh Thomas forced Clemson to fumble into its own end zone. The Tigers fell on the loose ball, but the result was a safety, which cut Georgia Tech’s’ deficit to 14-8 with seven seconds left on the clock.
Tech got the ball back at its own 25 after the ensuing free kick, but its desperation final play wasn’t successful and Clemson escaped with the victory despite the Yellow Jackets’ valiant effort.
The wild final quarter began with the Yellow Jackets trailing just 7-3 and Clemson driving to take a two-score lead. However, Georgia Tech linebacker Quez Jackson forced a huge fumble on the Georgia Tech 20, which was recovered by Myles Sims, giving the Jackets to score to take the lead. Unfortunately, Tech went three-and-out following the takeaway and, on their ensuing possession, the Tigers drove 66 yards in 12 plays to take the seemingly commanding 14-3 lead that Tech nearly erased in the final eight minutes of the game.
The Yellow Jackets hung tough throughout the first half and were driving to potentially knot the score at 7-7 when lightning in the area halted the game with 32 seconds left before halftime and the Jackets at the Clemson 25 yard line. Following the one-hour-and-52-minute delay, Cimaglia split the uprights with his first field goal of the night to cut the Tech deficit to 7-3 as time expired in the first half.
Georgia Tech’s 309-yard offensive effort was led by 203 yards through the air from quarterback Jordan Yates, who completed 20-of-33 passes on the night.
Tech’s defense was also stout, limiting the sixth-ranked Tigers to 284 total yards. Clemson (2-1, 1-0 ACC) scored less than 20 points and amassed less than 300 yards for the first time in an Atlantic Coast Conference game since a 28-6 loss to the Yellow Jackets in 2014.
The D was led by career nights from Tariq Carpenter (13 tackles, 9 solo) and Charlie Thomas (12 tackles, 4 solo, 1 tackle for loss).
Clemson’s quarterback DJ Uiagaleiei went 18-for-25 on the night with tailback Will Shipley taking 21 carries for 88 yards. Defensively linebacker LaVonta Bentley was the lone Tiger with double-digit tackles with 13 .
