Ben Humphreys, Brittain Brown Probable As Duke Host Miami
With a short week to prepare for their next game, the good news is that it looks like linebacker Ben Humphreys and running back Brittain Brown will play Friday when Duke plays under lights against Miami at Brooks Field @ Wallace Wade.
The two players went down last week during their tobacco road rivalry game at Kenan Memorial Stadium Saturday against North Carolina as Duke came out on top by a score of 27-17 as the victory bell returned Durham for the second straight season.
Duke Football has done very well on the injury front so far this season, but two of their best players left the game against UNC this past Saturday. One, running back Brittain Brown returned later in the game after taking a hit to his shoulder. The other, linebacker Ben Humphreys did not return although the chop block that forced him out of the game was late in action and the game was basically in hand. According to head coach David Cutcliffe in a release from the program today, both players have practiced this week and are expected to be ready to go on Friday night against Miami assuming things don't take a turn for the worse.
