Terquavion Smith scored on the Pack's next possession and Dereon Seabron nearly blew the roof off the building with a dunk in traffic to give NC State a 57-52 lead with 8:28 to go.
After NC State took the lead on the Ebenzer Dowuona hook shot, it stayed in front until a desperation Noah Locke three-pointer at the end of the shot clock tied the game at 68 with 90 seconds to go. NC State's shot on its next possession was blocked and Louisville took possession with 55 seconds to play, looking for the lead.
NC State played great defense and forced a Louisville timeout with two seconds left on the shot clock. After the timeout, the Cardinals threw a cross-court pass to Matt Cross who hit a fadeaway three while falling out-of-bounds to give Louisville a 71-68 lead with 26 seconds to go.
Hayes three-point attempt to tie was off the mark and Louisville's Jarrod West made both ends of a one-on-one to clinch the game for Louisville.
Jericole Hellems led NC State with 18 points. Sith added 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Hayes was also in double figures with 15 points.
Seabron was one rebound shy of his sixth double-double of the season with 11 points and nine rebounds.

After Louisville's Noah Locke hit a 3-pointer that tied the game at 68 with 1:33 to go, Cross blocked a 3-pointer attempt by Jericole Hellems then buried the go-ahead 3-pointer from the left corner with 28 seconds to go. Cam Hayes missed a 3-pointer for the Wolfpack with 12 seconds left and Jarrod West capped the scoring, making two free throws with 7 seconds remaining.
North Carolina State (6-2) did not score after a 3-pointer by Hellems with 3:02 to go had given the Wolfpack a 68-64 lead. They missed 10 of their last 11 shots.
Malik Williams led Louisville (6-2) with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Cross had 13 points with seven rebounds and made 3 of 6 3-point tries. Locke scored 12 points, all on 4-of-8 3-point shooting. Dre Davis and El Ellis scored 11 points each.
NC State's Dereon Seabron, comiing off a 39-point, 19-rebound game against Nebraska, was held to 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting with nine rebounds. Hellems led the Wolfpack with 18 points, Hayes scored 15 and Terquavion Smith had 17. The starters scored all 68 points for the Wolfpack.

At this time I don’t the answer though what I do know is that NC State comes into the game with a record of 8-8 while they’re 1-4 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and are thirteenth in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings and are going to be looking to rebound!

Dereon Seabron led the Pack with 27 points. It's the seventh 20-point performance of the season for the Norfolk, Va., native. He added a team-high tying seven rebounds and finished with three assists and two steals.
Thomas Allen was the only other NC State player in double figures with 10 points.
NC State finished the game shooting 31.7 percent from the field which is the second-lowest shooting percentage this season for NC State.
NC State was within two, 55-53, with 6:32 to play after an Allen lay-up but a 7-0 Clemson run over the next three minutes, punctuated by a Chase Hunter jumper with 3:31 to play put the Tigers up 62-53.
NC State did not get within one possession of the Tigers until a Casey Morsell three-pointer with two seconds brought the Pack within three, 68-65. Nick Honor made two free throws with 0.8 seconds remaining to clinch the victory for Clemson.
NC State jumped out to a 9-0 lead less than three minutes into the game courtesy of three-pointers by Allen, Seabron and Jericole Hellems. NC State would only make two field goals over the next 13 minutes of the game though as Clemson responded to the early 9-0 deficit to take a 26-18 lead with 4:47 to play in the first half.
NC State closed the half on an 8-2 run to cut the deficit to 30-28 at the break. NC State made six three-pointers in the first half, but just two two-point field goals.
Though, NC State isn’t the only team that is going to be looking to rebound in the rematch as Louisville who comes into the rematch with NC State with a record of 10-5 while they’re 4-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and second in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings behind Miami who is in first place in the Atlantic Coast Conference will too after losing 79-70 on the road at Florida State Saturday.

Freshman Matthew Cleveland, who entered averaging 9.9 points, finished with 17 points for the Seminoles.
El Ellis scored 14 points to lead the Cardinals. Samuell Williamson added 13 points and Mason Faulkner 12.
Louisville trailed by 14 with about 16 minutes remaining and used a 21-9 run to pull to 63-61 with 4:42 left. Faulkner had five points to lead six who scored for the Cardinals during the stretch.
But a 9-2 surge, capped by Cleveland's 3-pointer, pushed the Seminoles' advantage to 72-63 with 1:59 to play.
Mills scored 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting and made three 3-pointers in the first half as the Seminoles built a 50-40 halftime lead.
Florida State shot 46% (27 of 59) from the floor overall but just 61% (17 of 28) from the free-throw line. The Cardinals shot 41% (24 of 59) and weren't much better at the line, hitting 70% (14 of 20).
