Following NC State’s 74-73 loss to Stanford in Stanford California NC State Head Coach Kevin Keatts had this to say about his team about Trey Parker!

Give Stanford credit. They made a couple extra plays down the stretch. Free throws, we missed a couple of free throws. We missed a couple of assignments. Then the game's last play, we were trying to get Dontrez off a curl cut. I told Marcus if he saw an opening to drive it. Trey did a good job getting to the corner and got a great look. I thought he got fouled, to be quite honest with you. If you look at it, the referee raised his hand to call the foul and never blew the whistle. You go back and look at it, very disappointing."When we were up, just say 'be solid.' When we were down, they were making their free throws. We wanted to play really solid defense without fouling and trusting our defense. A couple of times we fouled when we didn't have to. Our press was very effective. We sped them up a little bit. We had our opportunities. We did a good job.

"That's what you want on the road. You want to have the opportunity to make a shot. Trey had a great look, he really did. We said 'stay patient.' We got key offensive rebounds when we needed to. We drove the ball. We did some things. It's unfortunate we don't have the opportunity to come out of here with a win. It was good basketball-wise."

He's playing well. I'm happy that we've been able to -- he's starting to develop. He's starting to understand how to play. He's had some big games. When you think about him, most of the big ones have come on the road. At Duke, here at Stanford where both teams had won a lot of games.

"I like what I'm seeing with him. This may have been -- and I'll check with Craig [Hammel] -- this may have been the most minutes that he's played in 27. He did a really good job. Not only did he score the ball but he ran our team. That was something that we've needed also."

Guys stepped up and raised the level of their games and made contributions in different areas that they don't normally do. They guarded positions they don't normally do. I am just proud of our team as I have been all year long. They were resilient, gritty, tough and found a way."
