Following DJ Horne hitting game winning layup Saturday NC State knocking off Clemson 78-77 in Clemson South Carolina senior guard DJ Horne had this to say!
As a ballplayer those are the moments you dream of,”“I can count on my hands countless times when I’m a little kid, just dreaming in my bed about moments like these. To go out here and see it come to fruition means everything. “Just where we’re at in our season, this was in our eyes a must-win and we came out here and got the job done. And for me personally, just knowing I had an opportunity in the game last week at Wake Forest and I didn’t do it, I knew I had to make this one.” In a tight game, with victory in the balance, so many plays can make a difference.
I’m just taking deep breaths,”“I can’t let the pressure get to me. I know that probably everybody in the building knew I’d take the last shot. All I could do was take a deep breath and trust my work.”

Following NC State losing the first match up of 2023-2024 regular season to Syracuse 77-65 Saturday in Syracuse New York NC State Head Coach Kevin Keatts had this to say!
I thought this was our worst game we have played the entire year,We didn’t have pop, we didn’t have juice. I didn’t know what to explain it. Maybe it’s our travel. Maybe we were just flat a little bit. This is one of those games where coaches talk about burning the tape and not looking at it. Typically you would lose a game like this by 30. Because we do have some pride in our locker room we found a way to play a little better in the second half. But it was a game that I didn’t think anybody on our team had a good game.”

We’ve got to fix our mistakes, for sure, and just come together as a team, as one,
D.J. Horne said. “We’re still trying to figure out how to do that right now, and the sooner we can do that, I think the quicker we can get out of this slump, these slow starts, and get back into the win column.”
