NC State comes into the game with a record of 11-19 4-15 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and finished last in the regular season standings because they lost 101-76 at Wake Forest on Wednesday.

Wake Forest shot 64.9 in the second half to pull away from NC State and win, 101-76, Wednesday night inside Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
A Terquavion Smith three-pointer tied the game at 48 with 16:11 to play, but Wake Forest responded with 11 consecutive points to take a 59-48 lead.
A Smith three-pointer brought the Pack back within eight but NC State would get no closer.
Wake Forest's points (101) and field goal percentage (60.9) were both the highest for an NC State opponent this season.
The Pack was led by Smith who scored 22 points. The Greenville, N.C., native hit five three-pointers and now has 91 on the season. The 91 three-pointers are the sixth-most in a single-season in program history and are now the fifth-most by a freshman in ACC history.
Jericole Hellems added 18 points while Casey Morsell had 10 points and led the team with seven rebounds and three steals and a career-high tying three steals.
Daivien Williamson led four Wake Forest players in double figures with 28 points. He finished 11-of-14 shooting, including 5-of-7 from three-point range. Dallas Walton added 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting and a game-high 12 rebounds. Alondes Williams finished with 17 points and 11 assists.

Florida State comes into the rematch with a record of 16-13 9-10 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and finished seventh in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings!

In Florida State’s 74-70 win over Notre Dame Freshman John Butler scored a career-high 16 points and pulled down a career-high eight rebounds as the Seminoles defeated Notre Dame 74-70 at the Donald L. Tucker Center. RayQuan Evans made two free throws with nine seconds remaining to seal the victory for the Seminoles.
Florida State’s victory marks its sixth consecutive home win against the Fighting Irish. The Seminoles have not lost a game to Notre Dame in Tallahassee in the history of the series.
The Seminoles were without ACC Freshman of the Week and second-leading scorer Matthew Cleveland, who was sidelined by a non-COVID illness. Cleveland had a last-second 3-pointer to beat Virginia 64-63 in FSU’s previous game. FSU did get Polite back after he missed the last seven games following surgery for a fractured wrist, and he came through with a 3-pointer for a five-point lead with 46.8 seconds left.
Four Seminoles scored in double figures, including Evans (12 points), Polite (12 points), and Tanor Ngom (12 points).
Florida State led for 27 minutes of the game, but was down 44-39 going into the locker room at half.
Six different Seminoles scored at least one three-pointer (Butler, 4; Evans, two; Polite, two; Wyatt Wilkes, two; Harrison Prieto, one and Cam’Ron Fletcher, one) as Florida State made 12 3-pointers and shot a combined .414 percent from beyond the arc.
In making 12 of 29 from the arc, Florida State matched its highest total in an ACC game this season. Notre Dame missed all 10 of its second-half 3-point tries.
Warley had four assists in the win as he continues to be Florida State’s leader in assists with 74 and a 2.6 assists per game average. Butler totaled a career-high four blocks and leads the team with 31 total blocks this season. Butler is looking to become the second freshman in the last three seasons to lead Florida State in blocked shots.
The Seminoles totaled eight blocks and seven steals, with Evans and Warley contributing two steals each, and Wilkes blocking two shots. Florida State is second in the ACC with an 8.7 steals per game average.
Notre Dame, the leading three-point field goals made team in the ACC, shot a below average it made just five of 19 from beyond the arc (.263 percent). Blake Wesley led Notre Dame with 21 points, while Paul Atkinson, Jr. had a double double of 17 points and 10 rebounds.
