NC State, Georgia Tech are looking to rebound tonight as they match up in Atlanta because both Atlantic Coast Conference teams lost their previous games on the road at Pittsburgh on the road on Saturday.

Pitt shot 51.9 percent in the second half and was able to hold off NC State late to defeat NC State 71-69!
In NC State’s sixth straight Atlantic Coast Conference loss, loss at Pittsburgh NC State led 31-26 at the break, but Pitt opened the second on a 19-4 run to take its largest lead of the game, 45-35, with 12:24 to go.
The Pack immediately responded with an 8-0 run over the next 1:21 to cut the deficit to just two on a Terquavion Smith three-pointer with 11:03 left.
Pitt would extend its lead back to five points, but NC State retook the lead with an 8-2 run, highlighted by a three-point play from Dereon Seabron to put the Pack in front, 58-57, with 3:48 to go.
The teams exchanged the lead on the ensuing two possessions, but a 6-0 Pitt run gave the Panthers a five point lead with 57 seconds to go.
Jericole Hellems and Thomas Allen each hit three-pointers in the final minute to keep the Pack in it, but Pitt made all of its free throws down the stretch to stay in front.
Seabron scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half and finished the game 5-of-10 shooting and 7-of-9 at the foul line.
Allen scored a season-high 14 points and went four-of-seven from three-point range.
Hellems finished with 10 points.
Smith shot just 2-of-12 from the field but had a team-high seven rebounds and a career-high six assists.
Pitt shot 23-of-25 from the foul line and outscored the Pack 23-14 at the line.
John Hugley led the Panthers with 21 points and 10 rebounds. He was 13-of-15 at the foul line.
Jamarius Burton and Ithiel Horton each added 17 points.

Georgia on the other hand lost to Virginia in Charlottesville on Saturday by a score of 53-63 because Michael Devoe scored 17 points, and Rodney Howard came off the bench to score 10 as Georgia Tech trimmed a 17-point first-half deficit down to two late in the game. But the Yellow Jackets fell short, 63-53, in an Atlantic Coast Conference basketball game Saturday at John Paul Jones Arena.
Tech (10-14, 3-10 ACC) trailed 32-15 with 1:48 left in the first half, but scored the last four points before the break and the first seven coming out to get within 32-26. The Jackets got as close as two points (49-47) with 5;44 remaining on Devoe’s three-pointer, but Jayden Gardner answers with a layup and a jumper for the Cavaliers (16-9, 10-5 ACC), who outscored Tech 14-6 from there.
Tech never drew as close again, and the Cavaliers went 6-for-6 from the foul line in the final 1:06 to preserve their fourth consecutive win.
Georgia Tech limited Virginia to 9-of-27 (33.3 percent) from the floor in the second half while hitting 48.1 percent (13-of-27) themselves after intermission. Tech took only 12 three-point shots, making four, and held the Cavaliers to 4-of-18 from beyond the arc. Virginia scored 19 points off Tech’s 15 turnovers and 12 points from offensive rebounds, covering nearly half their scoring in the game.
Jordan Usher, who went scoreless in the first half, scored Tech’s first five after the break and finished the game with 11.
Gardner led Virginia with 26 points, 15 of them in the first half. Kihei Clark added 15 as Virginia’s only other player in double-digits, including a pair of big three-point field goals that answered Tech runs, one when Georgia Tech had drawn to within 46-42 with 8:27 left and another with the score 54-49 with 2:34 remaining.
