Caleb Foster who is a point guard committed to Duke, Is Jon Scheyer’s inaugural commit for the class of 2023!

Caleb Foster currently attends Oak Hill Academy!

He was recruited by Nolan Smith!

Who is he?

He’s a former Duke guard who like Caleb Foster went to Oak Hill Academy he currently is an Assistant Coach for Duke after serving as a Special Assistant, the Director Of Basketball Operations for his alma mater!

As a player, Nolan Smith was a A consensus first-team All-American and ACC Player of the Year in 2011, Smith helped lead Duke to three consecutive ACC championships (2009-11) and the 2010 NCAA title during his tenure as a student-athlete.

He was a two-time All-ACC selection (2010-11) and was named ACC Tournament MVP as a senior in 2011. Nolan Smith led the ACC in scoring in his final season and his 764 points that year still rank as the ninth-best total in program history.

In helping propel Duke to its fourth national championship in 2010, Nolan Smith was named Most Outstanding Player at the NCAA South Regional in Houston and earned a place on the All-Final Four Team after the Blue Devils cut down the nets in Indianapolis.

Caleb Foster is ranked No. 13 in the ESPN 60 for 2023. He's the sixth five-star point guard to commit to Duke since 2014, following Tyus Jones, Derryck Thornton, Frank Jackson, Tre Jones, Jeremy Roach

Caleb Foster had this to say about committing to Duke!

"I always wanted to go to Duke," Foster told ESPN. "I don't want to waste any more time or the time of others."

Coach Scheyer is giving me a great opportunity," Foster said. "He played for Coach K and has learned from him. We have a great relationship."

Though, Jon Scheyer led the recruit of Caleb Foster Mike Krzyzewski who is coaching last season in 2021 -2022 had advice for Caleb Foster during his recruiting process!
