Turns out that would his last season playing for NC State in North Carolina’s state capital!

Why?

Because he is transferring to another college to finish his collegiate career and to use his fifth year eligibility given to student athletes because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Where?

Eastern Kentucky!

Why?

Braxton Beverly had this to say about his decision to transfer to Eastern Kentucky to his fifth and final season of eligibility.

I want to thank Coach Keatts for taking a chance on me. Coming to NC State was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life. The last four years have been incredible. I’ve grown as a basketball player and person while being part of this program. I found myself here. I’ve always wanted to be an inspiration to people, especially to people who sometimes are a little hesitant to dream big and chase their dreams. I’ve chased my dream and it’s taken me to places I could have never imagined.

Now it’s time for the next step. I will graduate from NC State in May and transfer to Eastern Kentucky to complete my college eligibility. I look forward to going home and playing in front of a community that has done so much for me. Thank you, #WPN for everything. I’ll always be part of the Pack!
