NC State Routed Bethune -Cookman 65-48 As They Returned To Non- Conference Play In Raleigh Thursday Night
NC State routed Bethune - Cookman 65-48 as they returned to non-conference play in North Carolina’s state capital Thursday night.

NC State jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the opening minutes of the game as the Pack hit four of its first six shots. The lead stretched to 10, 14-4, two minutes later but the Pack could never pull away from Bethune-Cookman in the first half as the Wildcats would cut the deficit to five multiple times in the first half.
NC State went into halftime with a 34-29 advantage.
In the second half, NC State opened up a 13 point lead just five minutes into the final period and Bethune-Cookman would never get closer than nine points the rest of the game.
NC State never trailed trailed in dispatching Bethune-Cookman, 65-48, Thursday evening inside James T. Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum.
In NC State’s win over Bethune -Cookman Dereon Seabron led NC State with 16 points and 14 rebounds for this ACC-best sixth double-double of the season. The Norfolk, Virginia native , has now led NC State in rebounding in all nine games this season.
Terquavion Smith added 14 points while Jericole Hellems hit his first five shots of the game to finish with 13 points. Hellems added a team-high four steals.

NC State is now prepare to play top ranked Purdue Sunday in the Basketball Hall Of Fame Invitational in Brooklyn New York at Barclays Center that is home to the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, The WNBA’s New York Liberty!
Though, Purdue likely won’t be top ranked come Monday afternoon when the week 6 AP Top 25 Poll comes out because they lost to Rutgers 70-68 on Thursday!

Purdue was one of the nation's last 10 unbeaten teams and the last remaining unbeaten team in the Big Ten.
The Boilermakers haven't started conference play 2-0 since the 2016-17 season.
Purdue was outscored at the free throw line 13-11, the first time all season Purdue was outscored at the charity stripe.
Purdue fell to 133-15 under Coach Painter when winning the rebound and turnover battles. Purdue was +8 on the glass and +4 in turnovers.
Purdue outscored Rutgers in second-chance points and points off turnovers by a 38-8 margin.
Purdue shot a season-low 41.0 percent from the field and 26.9 percent from 3-point range.
Trevion Williams recorded his 25th career double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds in 23 minutes of action.
Purdue's two centers, Zach Edey and Trevion Williams, combined for 34 points and 17 rebounds while shooting 14-of-25 from the field. The rest of the team had 34 points while going 11-of-36 from the field.
