is going to transfer.
Where?
That is yet to be decided but what we do know is that Gonzaga, Duke, Oregon, The University Of Southern California, Memphis and Georgetown have already reached out to the point guard. “according to Jeff Borzello’s twitter account.
What are chances I think he will transfer to Duke? I think there is a slim chance . Why? Because Duke has a point guard coming in . His name is Jeremy Roach and he is a point guard who went to Paul VI Catholic High School and they also have Jordan Goldwire but he will be a senior this upcoming season so if Andrew Nembhard decided to transfer to Duke I think that would be fine. Why? Because he would have to sit out for a year because of the transfer rules and possibly Jeremy Roach might leave for the NBA after his freshman season and Jordan Goldwire defiantly will be leaving and Mike Krzyzewski could possibly need a point guard during the 2021-2022 season while he would also get to know another White in Kevin White who is Mike White’s dad who is the Athletic Director at Duke.
White, 68, arrived at Duke after leading Notre Dame’s athletics program for eight years. In addition to previously holding AD positions at Arizona State University, Tulane University, the University of Maine and Loras College in Iowa, White has served in a number of prominent national leadership roles within intercollegiate athletics, including his service in 2006-07 as president of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and in 2005-06 as president of the Division I-A Athletic Directors Association. “according to https://goduke.com/staff-directory/kevin-white/484
Since White’s arrival, Duke has captured eight NCAA Championships – women’s tennis in 2009, men’s basketball in 2010 and 2015, men’s lacrosse in 2010, 2013 and 2014, and women’s golf in 2014 and 2019 – and 23 ACC titles. On the strength of 16 teams participating in postseason competition and robust finishes in several sports, Duke ranked ninth in the 2019 Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup standings, which determine an institution’s all-around strength in intercollegiate athletics. The ninth-place showing marked the 16th consecutive year that Duke has ended among the nation’s top 35 programs. In 2011, Duke placed fifth, matching the school’s best finish in the rankings and its 1171.50 points earned were the most in program history. In White’s 11 years at Duke, the Blue Devils placed 17th (2009), 10th (2010), fifth (2011), 16th (2012), 12th (2013), ninth (2014), 20th (2015), 24th (2016), 32nd (2017),11th (2018) and ninth (2019) in the Directors’ Cup standings.https://goduke.com/staff-directory/kevin-white/484
In the past 11 seasons, 106 Blue Devil teams ranked among the nation’s top 10 teams with 20 – men’s basketball (2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019), field hockey (2016, 2018), men’s lacrosse (2010, 2013, 2014, 2018), women’s golf (2012, 2015, 2019) and women’s tennis (2009, 2010, 2014) – reaching No. 1. In all, 183 Blue Devil teams advanced to NCAA postseason competition during White’s Duke tenure. Blue Devil student-athletes also claimed two ACC Scholar Athletes of the Year award and Zion Williamson was named the league’s player of the year, rookie of the year and national player of the year by eight media outlets. In 2016, Duke was the only athletic department in the nation to have a football bowl champion, a Sweet 16 appearance in men’s basketball and secure a baseball NCAA postseason berth and in 2018, Duke became just one of four schools over the past decade to win a bowl game, reach the Sweet 16 in both men’s and women’s basketball and advance to the Super Regional round in baseball in the same season.https://goduke.com/staff-directory/kevin-white/484
