The Younger Brother Of Tyus Jones Tre Jones Is Going To Hear His Name Called During The NBA Draft

In 2015 Tyus Jones was a freshman at Duke!

That turned out to be his only season at Duke and in Durham but it was a special one!

Why?

Because five years ago Tyus Jones who is a point guard was named the most outstanding player of the Final Four and NCAA South Regional All-Tournament Most Outstanding Player recognition to become the first Blue Devil to earn both ... received All-ACC Third Team and All-ACC Freshman Team accolades ... named to the All-ACC Academic Team. Started all 39 games ... averaged 11.8 points, 5.6 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game, while adding a Duke freshman-record 2.86:1 assist to turnover ratio

  • Led Duke in assists (217) and steals (59), while ranking second and eighth, respectively, in the ACC in those categories ... also ranked second in the nation among freshmen in assists per game (5.6)

  • Just the second freshman in Duke history to record 400 points and 200 assists in the same season

    Because he is from Apple Valley Minnesota!

    There he played four seasons before heading to Memphis where he is currently!

    In his first season with Memphis Tyus Jones played in 65 games , averaged 19 minutes per game , 7.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game!

    What will his stats look like this season?

    At this point I don’t know what Tyus Jones stats are going to look like this season but what I do know is that when the NBA season does get started there is going to be another Jones playing point guard in the NBA!

    Tre Jones as stated above, is Tyus Jones younger brother who like his brother Tyus Jones went to Duke but unlike his brother Tyus Jones Tre Jones ran the point for Mike Krzyzewski instead of one!

    During final season at Duke under the direction of Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski Tre Jones was named ACC Player of the Year
