Though, New York Tied Game Friday 4-4 On Wild Pitch By Boston Closer Tanner Houck In 9th Inning They Lost 5-4 In 11th Inning As Xander Bogaerts Scored On Wild Pitch By New York Reliever Michael King

Though, New York tied game Friday 4-4 on wild pitch by Boston closer Tanner Houck scoring second baseman Gleyber Torres after shortstop Isiah Kiner -Falefa grounded into fielders choice to Christian Vazsquez in 9th inning New York lost to Boston 5-4 in the 11th inning as Boston shortstop Xander Bogaerts scored on New York reliever Michael King wild pitch.

Before that though New York manager Aaron Boone was tossed in the top of the 9th inning for arguing balls, strikes that were low to home plate umpire D.J. Reyburn and let his emotions be known on his way back to New York clubhouse.

How?

Aaron Boone tossed his gum toward the grass, a sidearm motion borrowed from his days patrolling third base, and his players soon experienced similar frustration. Forced into their third extra-inning contest in three days, the Yankees twice loaded the bases but were unable to push across a winning run,

Before that though in the top of the 1st inning Raphael Devers homered to center 403 feet scoring former New York player Rob Refsnyder giving Boston a 2-0 lead. Then Giancarlo Stanton hit 3 run home run to right scoring DJ Lemaieu , Anthony Rizzo giving New York a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the 3rd inning.

After the game Xander Bogaerts who scored the deciding run off New York reliever Michael King had this to say about New York reliever Michael King!

[King] is a tough pitcher. Everyone that comes out of the bullpen is pretty tough, The whole night, he didn’t bounce any breaking balls. He had it pretty much under control. I just had it in my head that I had to be ready in case he bounced one. … As soon as I saw it bounce, I took a chance and I went."

Though, Xander Bogaerts wasn’t the only player to talk about Michael King’s wild pitcher as New York catcher Jose Trevino did as well by saying I could have kept it closer. He made a great read on it.”
