Domingo German Is Starting As New York, Miami Continue Their Series Tonight In Miami Florida

On Sunday July 25, 2021 Domingo German was amazing in his start verses Boston!

Where?

Boston Massachusetts!

How?

Domingo Germán struck out 10 against a walk over his sharp seven-plus inning performance.

In the seventh inning, Germán struck out Jarred Duran, then saw Bogaerts reach on a strikeout that tipped catcher Gary Sánchez's glove for a passed ball. Germán recovered, fanning Rafael Devers and J.D. Martinez to keep the bid alive.

Offensively Domingo German was supported by Rougned Odor who homered and drove in two runs as New York touched left-hander Martín Pérez for three runs over six innings. Gio Urshela went 1-for-3 with an RBI single in his return from the COVID-19 injured list, and Gleyber Torres drove in a run in the eighth that built a four-run Yankees lead at the time.

But Domingo German was denied the no-hitter!

Why?

Alex Verugo hit a lead off double!

Then Jonathan Loaisiga surrendered hits to all four men he faced, with Christian Vázquez and Kiké Hernández drilling run-scoring knocks before pinch-hitter Kevin Plawecki greeted Zack Britton with a game-tying groundout. Xander Bogaerts' sacrifice fly put Boston ahead.

Then Zack Britton who like Jonathan Loaisiga is a reliever gave up a game tying groundout and Xander Bogaerts' sacrifice fly put Boston ahead. Matt Barnes closed out the ninth around Giancarlo Stanton's two-out single, sealing the Yanks' third loss in four games this weekend and their 10th defeat in 13 tries vs. Boston overall.

And New York lost the finale by a score of 5-4!

Domingo German had this to say about his performance!

Unfortunately, I couldn't finish what I really wanted there, which was to go all the way," Germán said. "I was missing a start like this one, to get me back on track after a few outings where it's been tough just getting to the fifth inning. It's definitely satisfying; it gives you confidence."

Jonathan Loaisiga had this to say about his relief appearance!

I wasn't able to locate my slider for strikes and my sinker wasn't moving," Loaisiga said through an interpreter. "It's been a very important pitch for me the whole season, and unfortunately today it didn't have the action that it's had in the past. It's a bad day for me. It hurts."

Tonight Domingo German who is a right handed pitcher is starting for New York who is a member of the American League East verses Miami who is a member of the National League East has yet to announce their starter for tonight’s game.

But could mother nature be a problem?

I’d say that could be a possibility!

Why?

Because there is a 29% chance of rain at first pitch but that won’t be a problem because Ioan Depot park has a retractable roof.

Domingo German comes into the game with a record of 4-5 with an earn run average of 4.45!

Jameson Taillon had this to say about his start verses Miami!

I felt I didn’t have my best stuff, but we made it work,” Taillon said. “I don’t know. Baseball is weird. I think there is something to it when you have a little more confidence and you throw your pitches with conviction. The reaction from the hitters are a little better. They don’t hit your mistakes as often.”
