Aaron Boone Gets Tossed, Aaron Judge Makes Mistake On Base Paths As New York Loses The Opening Game Of The Four Game Series To Baltimore

The Aaron’s were the main subject of New York’s opening game of their four series verses Baltimore!

When?

Last night!

Where?

Baltimore Maryland!

Why?

Because Manager Aaron Boone got tossed for the first time this season!

Why?

Because he wanted to challenge the call on Aaron Judge where he was called out at third base and couldn’t because he had wasted time.

Judge took that as a given, sighting a ball that he thought was destined to rattle into the corner. Left fielder Austin Hays made a strong throw to third base, where Judge slid feet-first toward the home plate side of the bag, then attempted to reach past a tag from third baseman Maikel Franco with his left hand.

Aaron Judge had this to say about his baserunning mistake!

I was trying to make something happen," Judge said. "In that situation, I've got to stay at second base and keep the inning rolling. You don't want to end an inning like that, especially when you've got a team on the ropes and guys are swinging the bat well in that inning."

My eyes thought it was 100 percent that I got in there, but the replay probably says different," Judge said. "I've got to play a little smarter baseball there."

As for the New York offense,

They were limited to one run through the first seven frames, New York showed discipline by working three walks against left-hander Tanner Scott. Gio Urshela greeted right-hander César Valdez by lashing a two-out drive down the left-field line, which appeared as though it would chase home Clint Frazier and DJ LeMahieu.

New York and Baltimore are going to now play game two of their four game series.

When?

Tonight!

Where?

Baltimore Maryland!

A right handed pitcher and a left handed pitcher are going to start game two of the four game series for New York and Baltimore tonight!

Where?

Baltimore Maryland!

Why?

Because Corey Kluber is going to start for New York and Bruce Zimmermann is going to start for Baltimore!

Corey Kluber comes into the game with a record of 0-2 with an earn run average of 5.40.

Kluber is looking to complete five innings for the first time as a Yankee. Kluber tossed 91 pitches over 4 2/3 innings last time out, holding the Braves to two runs and two hits. Command has been an issue for Kluber, with 11 walks in 15 innings.

Bruce Zimmermann comes into the game with a record of 1-2 with an earn run average of 4.57.

Zimmermann has taken the loss in his last two starts after posting quality starts in his first two outings of the year. The rookie left-hander has completed at least five innings in three of his four starts this season.

First pitch is set for 7:05pm from Camden Yards!

The game is going to be televised on MASN and Yes!
