Masahiro Tanaka Was Injured As New York Resumed Spring Training
The first spring training was shutdown on March 12th.
Why? Because of the Corona Virus that is effecting us in the United States and around the world.
Since then spring training has resumed to prepare for what is supposed be a sixty game season.
Recently Masahiro Tanaka who is a Japanese right handed pitcher for New York was injured.
How?
Masahiro Tanaka was struck in the head by line drive off Giancarlo Stanton’s bat when the left fielder connected on a line drive off the bat of Giancarlo Stanton.
How is the right-handed pitcher recovering?
The team that wears the pinstripes provided an update on the Japanese right handed pitcher.
They stated that he is alert, responsive and walking under his own power. He was sent to New York-Presbyterian Hospital for further evaluation and testing, including a CT scan, which was negative.
