Aaron Judge Provides An Update On His Health
Aaron Judge who is a 6”7”282 pound right fielder for the team that wears the pinstripes injured his rib last September.
How?
Judge dove in an attempt to catch Albert Pujols’ fifth-inning single on Sept. 18, 2019. He spent the rest of the inning trying to stretch the shoulder out, but remained in the game. He sat out one game, but played seven games to end the season going 8-for-25 with three homers, two doubles and a triple in 25 at-bats. “according to an article by KRISTIE ACKERT of the New York Daily News.
On February 12th Aaron Judge was diagnosed with a right rib fracture as well as a punctured lung in late February. “according to an article by Bryan Hoch on mlb.com
Recently the right-fielder provided an update himself his health and a couple of his teammates.
He had this to say.
“This break has allowed some of the players, including myself, to get healthy,” Judge told Sports Illustrated. “Luckily, I’ve been able to go into our facility in Tampa Bay with five or six teammates to work out, get on the field and run around, and hit a little bit. For us, it’s kind of been business as usual and has felt like an extended Spring Training.” “according to an article by Bryan Hoch on mlb.com
The right fielder also stated that he resumed swinging in November which did not allow him the necessary time for healing. “according to an article by Bryan Hoch on mlb.com
Last season had 378 at bats, 75 runs, 103 hits , 27 home runs, 55 runs batted in 3 stolen bases and a batting average of 272.
What will his stats look like this season? Right now that question is hard to answer. Why? Because the season has been delayed because of the Corona Virus that is effecting us in the United States and around the world. But if the regular season ever does get started we will get to see what his batting average is, how many runs, hits , home runs and runs batted the right fielder will produce.
