Head Coach David Cutcliffe had this to say about the victory bell!
We have the perfect place down there right by our locker room.
I’ve enjoyed that when we’ve had it , it’s got a home, It’s well in sight for our guys right by our training room between our training room and our locker room. And when that space is empty it’s very noticeable.”
Jake Bobo who is a senior wide receiver for Duke had this to say about the victory bell!
You know it’s there,”People outside of the program when they are in the building , the football facility they get to ring it. So when you are in there , you are hearing it . When it’s not there, you defiantly know it there are no bells ringing.

They have to play the game first and then go from there.
In last seasons game between Duke, North Carolina in Durham Gunnar Holmberg got into the game briefly in Duke’s 56-24 loss to North Carolina.
While in the game Gunnar Holmberg led a 10 play 51 yard drive!

Because Chase Brice who was Duke’s starting quarterback last season transferred to Appalachian State!
Duke comes into the game with a record of 3-1 while they’re 0-0 fourth in the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Their previous game was verses Kansas a 52-33 win in Durham!

In that game Gunnar Holmberg rushed for four touchdowns to help lift Duke past Kansas, 52-33.
Gunnar Holmberg finished his night rushing 17 times for 88 yards and four touchdowns. The Wake Forest, N.C., native also went 22-of-29 passing for 328 yards with a touchdown.

In North Carolina’s loss to Georgia Tech Georgia Tech's defense stifled Sam Howell much of the game and the Yellow Jackets beat a ranked team for the first time in Geoff Collins' three seasons as coach, upsetting No. 21 North Carolina 45-22.
Sam Howell was sacked eight times and fumbled twice, leading to 10 points for the the Yellow Jackets in the first half. He also was stuffed on a fourth-down run in his own territory, setting up a short field for another Georgia Tech touchdown drive.
