Trevor Keels injured his calf of his right leg.

With 10:11 to go in regulation Trevor Keels right leg twisted awkwardly in a pileup of players after he fouled Jalen Warley who like Trevor Keels is a guard and wears number 1 just like Trevor Keels. Trevor Keels was helped off the hardwood by Mike Krzyzewski , trainer Jose Fonseca before being taken back to the Duke locker room and did not return to the game.

On Saturday Trevor Keels was sidelined when Duke hosted Syracuse because of his leg injury.

With Duke hosting Clemson tonight in Durham this question comes to mind!

Ahead of the game Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski provides updates on Trevor Keels status for the game!

On Saturday after Duke’s 79-59 win over Syracuse in Durham Mike Krzyzewski said that Trevor Keels MRI did not reveal a serious injury, treatments have been effective. Though his right leg injury doesn’t appear to be something that will keep him out much longer.

I don’t know if he will be ready for Tuesday but I don’t think it will be long term.

Hopefully we can get Trevor back soon . When he got hurt against Florida State, it looked like it would be like an amazing thing. He’s responded really well.

Then Mike Krzyzewski provided another update on Trevor Keels Monday!

He has progressed very well but he has still not gotten on a court,In saying that, he is in the weight room. He’s doing all the things our sports scientists want to make sure we’re treating this injury properly and not rushing his return.”

At that lower part of the leg, there’s a lot going on down there,” Krzyzewski said. “You want to make sure that he’s 100%. But he’s doing much better.”

As a freshman this season Trevor Keels is averaging 11.9 points, 3.6 rebounds , 3.2 assists while shooting 39.9%

Duke is ranked 9th in this weeks AP Top 25 Poll and comes into the game with a record of 15-3 while they are 5-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and third in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings because they beat Syracuse 79-59 on Saturday in Durham. In Duk’s 79-59 win Duke hit 14 three-pointers – including five from freshman AJ Griffin was one of four players for Duke (15-3, 5-2 ACC) with 15 points, joining classmate Paolo Banchero, junior Wendell Moore Jr. and sophomore Mark Williams. Banchero had 13 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season.
Griffin swished three-pointers on his first two shots to spark Duke's 11-2 run out of the gate. Syracuse surged back with a 13-5 stretch but never took the lead.

A 24-11 run from the Blue Devils to start the second half extended their lead to 27, with Moore tallying 10 points during that span. Duke grew its lead to 31 points during the second half.

Senior Joey Baker had 11 points and sophomore Jeremy Roach dished out a career-high nine assists for Duke. Moore had eight assists of his own as the Blue Devils tied their season high with 25 dimes on 30 made field goals.

Clemson unlike Duke isn’t ranked and comes into the game with a record of 11-8 3-5 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and is tenth in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings because they beat Pittsburgh 75-48 on Saturday in Clemson South Carolina. Clemson University men’s basketball turned up the defensive intensity and blew out Pittsburgh 75-48 on Saturday night. It marked the ninth-straight win by Clemson in the series.

Clemson (11-8, 3-5 ACC) held Pittsburgh (7-12, 2-6 ACC) to just 48 total points – their lowest output of the season. The 27-point defeat was also Pittsburgh’s largest margin of defeat this season.

Al-Amir Dawes (Newark, N.J./The Patrick School) led the way with 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting and 5-of-8 from three. Dawes finished with four rebounds and three assists.

Clemson put together a nice offensive first half and took a 38-27 lead into the break. In the second stanza, Clemson smothered Pittsburgh and let up just 21 second half points. The Panthers shot 7-for-25 for the period.

Clemson forced 20 Pittsburgh turnovers and turned those into 23 points. The Tigers led by as many as 32 late in the game before finishing the 27-point victory.
