Walk On's

What is the purpose of a walk on? How do they contribute to the teams success ?  The players may not be on scholarship but they still help their teammates  prepare for games by helping them in practice. They play as hard as they can so when game day comes their teammates are ready to perform at the highest level. Nick Paglicua who is a basketball  walk on for Duke works very hard in practice and come game day his teammates are ready to go to perform at their best! 

It works the same way in football but if the players have done their best some of them earn scholarships for their last year of college in either basketball or football. Don't count these players out just because they have different role they're  still  a member of the team!
