In his second start for New York verses Seattle on Sunday August 9, 2021 Luis Gil started his second game for New York!

In that start Luis Gil followed his inaugural scoreless outing with another scoreless outing!

He pitched five shutout innings, allowed two hits and struck out eight batters, though New York returned him to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following the game.
