The Bronx Bombers Are On A Role
It's been awhile since CC Sabathia won a game "according to an on yankees.com by Bryan Hosh and Bryan Mctaggert" Tuesday night in Houston was a different story he held the Astros to just two runs one solo homers by Marwin Gonzalez and Evan Gattis in 6/2/3 innings. CC Sabathia had a lot of help though as the Astros starting pitcher Doug Fister did not have a great night the Yankees scored six runs along with collecting nine hits while the Astros starter went only 4/2/3 innings. Shortstop Didi Gregorious had a sac fly while Chase Headly had an RBI single in the second to put the Yankees up 2-1 while Sterlin Castro an RBI single in the third. The Yankees also scored three times in the fifth inning that ended with an Aaron Hicks triple.
The Yankees will go for the series win tonight with right hander Masahiro Tanaka on the mound who has a record of 7-2 with a 3.00 earn run average takes on left and right hander Lance Mcullers of the Astros. First pitch is set for 8:10pm Will the Yankees offense be able to score enough runs to back up Masahiro Tanaka's start? Those questions are yet to be answered but will be answered soon enough.
